Tryouts for the 2010-11 Colorado Buffaloes D-II hockey team will beging Friday Aug. 27.

The 2009-10 CU varsity hockey squad. The Colorado Buffaloes hockey team has released their schedule for the 2010-11 season. The Buffs will open the 2010 campaign at the University of Denver on Oct. 1. Their first home game will be on Oct. 2 versus Utah State.

Kevin Litinsky picked up three postseason honors for the 2009-10 season. Goaltender Kevin Litinsky, forward Max Myers, and defenseman Andrew Neitenbach picked up honors after the ACHA released its postseason awards on Friday. Litinsky was named a first team All-American, West region MVP, and was named to the All-West first team. Myers and Neitenbach were both named to the All-West second team.

Senior Sean Carpenter (Longmont, Colo.) was one of the five Buffs honored as an Academic All-American. CU seniors Sean Carpenter and Scott Portnoy and juniors Andrew Gillis, Kevin Litinsky, and Mike Nunley were all named Academic All-Americans by the American Collegiate Hockey Association.
