LOGAN, Ut. -- The No. 3 University of Colorado Hockey team will take on the No. 7 Denver Pionners Saturday night at the ACHA West Regionals with the winner advancing to nationals.
Last night the Buffs beat No. 10 San Diego State 8-3, while the Pioneers beat hosts No. 6 Utah State, 5-4.
Denver had a two goal lead after the first period but the Aggies came back and made a game of it late.
In the other regional game. No. 4 Eastern Washington will take on the another Colorado hockey program, No. 5 Northern Colorado.
The winners to the two games will receive bids to the ACHA National Tournament, March 17-22 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
