BOULDER– The No. 4 University of Colorado Division II men’s ice hockey team will take on in-state rival No. 3 Colorado State in a home-and-home series this weekend.

The Buffs are looking to redeem themselves after coming off of their first home loss of the 2011-12 season against No. 4 Lindenwood University last Saturday.

The Buffaloes were unable to complete a comeback in a 5-4 loss to the Rams in their last meeting on Nov. 5 at the Pepsi Center in Denver. After being down 4-0 midway through the second period, the Buffaloes scored four goals but were unable to gain control of the lead.

“This is a big game for us as a team,” said forward J.P Park, who scored two goals against the Rams in their first matchup. “We came so close to winning in November and now we would like to finish the job.”

The series begins on Friday when the Buffs travel to Fort Collins to Epic Ice Arena to take on CSU at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Colorado will return home to the CU Ice Arena or their final contest of the weekend at 8 p.m.

All Division II home games are $3 for students with a Buff One card and $5 for the general public.
