ARVADA, Colo. – The University of Colorado hockey program will be scouting prospective players at the 8th annual Junior Placement Showcase from May 18-20 at Apex Ice Arena.
Head coach Shawn Sullivan and associate head coach Jon Pfeiff will be at the event to meet and talk CU hockey with future Buffs.
“Every year, Brad Buetow, who organizes the event, does a great job in showcasing the wealth of talent in the state,” Pfeiff said. “Shawn and I can’t wait to meet the players and provide information about the university and its hockey program.”
The showcase will begin on Friday, May 18 at 3 p.m. and will end on Sunday, May 20 at 1p.m. Players with birth years 1992-1997 will be in attendance.
Over 50 coaches from different hockey programs are expected to attend the showcase, with Colorado being one of the programs. Last year, out of the 300 players who participated at the JPS, over 175 were offered a definite spot/tender by coaches and general managers at the event.
